I’m at my wits’ end with a debt collector called Frost Arnett. They are hounding me over what they say is a medical debt, but the whole situation feels off.
First, they call constantly—sometimes before 8 AM—and I’ve received a few sketchy texts with links I’m afraid to click. When I asked them to stop calling me at work, they did it again the very next day. I requested they send me proof of the debt, and all I got was a vague letter with a P.O. Box return address and a total that doesn’t match what my insurance says I should pay.
I looked them up and found they are a real company, but also that they’ve been sued before for things like misleading letters. It just feels like they are banking on people paying without questioning it.
I need this stress to end. Has anyone successfully gotten them to back off? Do I need to send a formal cease-and-desist letter, or is there a specific way I should communicate with them? I just want to verify if this is even my debt without getting another 5 calls that day.
