That little yellow warning popped up on my 2017 Ghibli last night saying front pads worn, but the car still brakes fine and I don’t hear any grinding yet. I’m trying to figure out how many kilometers I can realistically push before I need to park it, because my usual mechanic is booked up for two weeks. I was reading through a Maserati service guide online and saw a link that said “Know More” about the different wear sensor stages, which explained that the light comes on when there’s about 3mm left, not zero. So maybe I have some time? Has anyone here ignored the warning for a few weeks on their Ghibli or Levante and ended up ruining the rotors? Or am I safe to drive gently until my appointment? Just don’t want to turn a pad job into a rotor job if I can avoid it. Appreciate any real world advice from fellow Maserati owners in Dubai.
